Looking for something that does not taste heavy with seasonings?
Ban Mian at Ngee Ann Polytechnic (poolside) would be a good choice. Selling at only $2.50, this bowl of noodles would be best eaten hot. Ikan Bilis and onions help to add in more flavor to the soup and the amazing part is it stays crispy and crunchy even though it is soaked in the soup. Egg lovers would bound to love this dish. A raw egg is added in to this hot bowl of noodles. You can eat it with the the noodles mixed it all up with the egg yolk or letting the egg yolk cooked a bit more to solid state in the hot soup. My recommendation would be mixing the egg yolk together with the noodles, so that the noodles become smooth. The shop sells many other types of noodles as well, be it soup base or sauce base, there are many side dishes such as fried dumplings to satisfy hunger. One more good thing about eating this ban mian would be : its a healthier choice ! Therefore do go try it out.
